Hello, It's Black velvet

Black Velvet is a hard rocking band based in
the Central California area. With origins
dating back to 1979, Black Velvet has
entertained audiences for over 40 years.
Black Velvet has opened concerts with many
bands including Y&T,Pablo Cruise,Greg Kihn,
Eric Martin Band, Billy Satellite, The
Byrds,Journey Unauthorized and many more.

Marty

Marty “The Hammer” Carpenter drums and vocals: Marty is one of the founding members of Black Velvet and has been playing professionally for many years.

Jr Marcelino

I’m the new guy in Black Velvet! I joined the band 2 years ago to fill the role of bass player I’ve been in a few local bands since the early 80s I played a battle of the bands here in my home town of Salinas, we opened up the Greg Kihn band John Butcher, Kid Blue and some tribute bands.

Brett Tomasini

Hi, I’m Brett Tomasini. I am guitar and lead vocals I’ve been playing 47+ yrs! My influences were The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Montrose! I’ve played with many bands and love playing high energy rock for live audiences!

David Guillen

I’ve loved playing live music since 1976, when my dad got me a guitar and I took lessons in junior high. I started with bluegrass and jingles and played in my first band, Black Velvet, in 1978. We performed at school dances and military bases, even opening for bands like Steele Breeze and Pablo Cruise. I’m passionate about tone chasing, but nothing beats the thrill of performing live!
